Message It seems like you have very little understanding about "powerband" and how a car performs under the power curve. This is not to insult you in any way but reading your posts about all the turbo chart talks and powerband cracks me up sometimes :) Suggestion: You need to drive a big turbo car to get a better picture of "powerband". Nothing too big, HKS2530 or TD05 will do. All of them has ~2000rpm range peak powerband and I am sure a lot of owners with these turbos can tell you how the car performs. Of course with bigger turbo, redline will need to be extended via engine mod, so that you can get the bigger turbos to stay at their peak power range longer. In other word, move the powerband to the right and gain more power.

A peaky dyno will be a dyno with less than 1k rpm peak power range, means that the car would accelerates for 1krpm range under max power then it need to shift to next gear, where it will drop to a very low hp level and climb up again. With 2krpm+ peak power, you hit redline and shift, rpm will still be around the peak powerband and accelerate under max power again. Hope this help you envision the term "powerband" better. Heck, just go drive a friend's bigger turbo Z which is properly modded and it beats all the thing I type here :)
